New poem, "Tiger of the Air" & a prompt

Vibe: longing, melodramatic, hopeful

Rejections: 6

I drafted this poem during a poetry class. The first draft was pretty general, so in revision I tried to make it more specific (purple ink became amethyst, for instance).

I didn't intentionally write an ode, but I'd say that's what this is! If you want to get really into odes, you can check out All the Odes by Pablo Neruda; I found the introductory discussion very helpful when I was working on a series of odes.

Prompt
